E-Cigarette Brands at Walmart

Archived | 12 comments

Every day, dozens of people find this website by searching for information about the e-cigarette brands at Walmart. Although I already have an article describing the common places where you can buy e-cigarettes locally, I decided to do a bit more research and get more information about Walmart’s e-cigarette brands. As it turns out, Walmart carries a variety of different e-cigarettes, so the brands available may vary by location. Here’s what I was able to find out.

Before I go into further detail, I’d like to mention that I don’t necessarily recommend buying e-cigarettes at Walmart. Because Walmart doesn’t sell e-cigarettes online, pricing information is hard to find. I can almost guarantee, though, that the prices will be inflated compared to what you’d pay buying directly from online merchants. In addition, because Walmart seems to change e-cigarette brands regularly, you may go to the store one day only to find that refill cartridges with threads matching your batteries are no longer available. As an alternative, I have an article elsewhere on this website recommending what I believe is the best e-cigarette for beginners.

E-Cigarette Brands Walmart

Mistic E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

According to the Mistic website, the Mistic e-cigarette is available at all Walmart locations in the United States. You can find it by going through the checkout aisle in which you would normally buy tobacco products. The least expensive offering is the Mistic disposable e-cigarette, which is similar to the NJOY King and costs $5.99. It’ll provide roughly the same amount of total nicotine as a pack of cigarettes, or slightly less. Through the Mistic website, a standard starter kit costs $29.99 and refill cartridges cost a rather hefty $14.99 per five-pack. All components and nicotine liquids appear to be made in China. Although I haven’t written a Mistic e-cigarette review myself, I’m guessing that it’s a very basic product.

Blu E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

According to the Blu Cigs store locator, you can buy Blu Cigs at Walmart locations. Blu is currently marketing its new “Starter Pack” at retail outlets, which I believe costs about $25 and contains two batteries, a portable battery charging case and a variety pack of five refill cartridges. Although I’m not the world’s biggest Blu fan, they are a fair introduction to e-cigarettes with reliable components and USA-made e-liquids. Blu’s e-liquids are made by Johnson Creek Smoke Juice, a Wisconsin-based company that recently sold 50 percent of its ownership to Republic Tobacco, a competitor of Blu’s owner Lorillard. It’s unknown whether the sale will impact the future of Johnson Creek’s relationship with Blu. For the time being, though, you can buy Johnson Creek e-liquids and the Blu e-cigarette brand at Walmart. Personally, I’m not fond of Johnson Creek e-liquids, but I am very happy about the fact that they’re made in the United States.

V2 Cigs E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

In 2012, V2 Cigs launched a petition attempting to get Walmart to stock its brand. At this time, though, it appears that Walmart doesn’t carry V2 Cigs. You can still buy V2 Cigs online, however.

FIN E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

I located a forum post suggesting that, as of 2013, Walmart had begun replacing NJOY with the FIN e-cigarette brand in some locations. Like the other e-cigarette brands being promoted primarily on retail store shelves, the basic FIN starter kit is priced at about $30.00. The Chinese-made refill cartridges are quite pricey, however, at $15.99 per five-pack. I have no personal experience with the FIN brand but reports suggest that the vapor production of this e-cigarette brand may be a bit on the low side.

Smokeless Solutions E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

I found a forum post from 2010 stating that Walmart was selling an e-cigarette brand called Smokeless Solutions, possibly in the pharmacy area. Given the age of the post and the fact that retailers have moved away from marketing e-cigarettes as nicotine replacement products, this is likely no longer the case. In fact, I’m unable to find evidence that the Smokeless Solutions starter kit is still available from any retailer.

NJOY E-Cigarette Brand at Walmart

Since at least 2012, NJOY — possibly the oldest e-cigarette brand in the United States — has been available at Walmart. With NJOY, your mileage may vary. Like many other e-cigarette companies, NJOY sources its e-liquids from China. I am no great lover of NJOY’s rechargeable e-cigarettes; in the past, the company’s refill cartridges were grossly overpriced. However, the new disposable NJOY King — which is all the company apparently sells currently — isn’t bad. You can see my NJOY King review elsewhere on this website. It has fairly nice flavor and produces a decent amount of vapor for its small size. I wouldn’t recommend making NJOY Kings your primary e-cigarette brand, though — it’s very small, and at a suggested retail price of $8.99 it’s likely to cost more than the cigarettes it would replace.

Yes you are correct and that is because of big brother (gov/FDA) dipping their hands in the E cig industry. However it is still OK to sell and buy cigs and cigars, Whay a joke!
